The yearbook is a student publication designed and produced by students of South High School for the students and community.

Senior Pictures: Due Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Baby Pictures: Due Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Course Description

Yearbook is a year long elective course and extracurricular activity dedicated to documenting and publishing the school yearbook. Students learn journalism, writing, editing and photography skills, as well as teamwork and leadership. and become published authors by the end. Applications are due on March. Students are expected to attend two meetings in the summer, and devote time after school and on some Saturdays to yearbook.

South High School Senior Yearbook Picture Requirements

Senior Pictures are due: Wednesday, September 24th, 2008
The cost of putting the senior color pictures in the book is $20. Students will be responsible for paying this fee when they submit their pictures. Please arrange for the pictures and money to arrive at the same time if you make special arrangements regarding this.
Photos for yearbook should be:

• Wallet size or picture on CD
• Color
• Head and shoulders or head to waist shots only (1/2-5/8 inch bridge to nose measurements)
• No extras (pets, instruments, etc)
• No gang signs
• Either indoors or outdoors

Yearbook Baby Pictures

To Parents and Guardians of South High School Students:
Now is your chance! You can submit your child's baby picture and a message of up to 25 words for publication in the yearbook. The cost for this is only $35 for 1/8 page. Please make checks out to South High School and write "yearbook baby picture" in the memo.

You may also bring pictures to room 224. Deadline for baby pictures is Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Pictures should be wallet size, 3x5 or 4x6 or a CD and it will be cropped to fit into the book. Please include in the following information along with the picture, check, and memo:

• Parent name
• Student name
• Parent phone number
