The Denver Scholarship Foundation inspires and empowers Denver Public School students to achieve their post-secondary goals by providing the tools, knowledge and financial resources essential for success.
The Future Center (Rm. 114)
The DSF Future Center seeks to increase the academic services provided to students by creating a centralized office where pre-collegiate service providers and school-based counselors are housed in one center.
Resources provided by the DSF Future Center:
- Financial Aid and FAFSA Workshops
- Assessment and tracking of needs to connect students with appropriate services
- Scholarship Nights
- College Fair(s) in cooperation with high schools
- Access to National scholarships and Scholarship Application Assistance
- College tours and visits
- Access to www.collegeincolorado.org
- Financial application forms - assists the student in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for Grants, Work-Study and Student Loans.
- Pre-Collegiate Programs- assists with connecting students to a number of Pre-Collegiate Programs.
- College Guidance- matches students with institutes of higher learning according to the students' interests.
The DSF Scholarship
Scholarship awards are based on the student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and the type of post-secondary institution (PSI) the student attends. Amounts will be prorated for students enrolled less than full-time (i.e. 12 credit hours). See the chart below for a summary of scholarship award amounts per academic year.

To receive a DSF scholarship award, students must:
- Meet all deadlines;
- March 15 - complete and submit FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov;
- March 31 - complete and submit DSF scholarship online at www.denverscholarship.org;
- May 1 - provide a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) summarizing FAFSA results, AND submit and enrollment intention form to DSF;
- August 1 - notify DSF of changes to the SAR or enrollment intentions.
- Enroll at least half-time (i.e. 6 credit hours) in a DSF-eligible post-secondary institution within one year of high school graduation;
- Be eligible to receive Federal Student Aid;
- Apply for at least three additional scholarships;
- Meet DPS enrollment and graduation requirements.
