Modified Lockdown

What is a modified lockdown?

A modified lockdown secures the building and safely shelters all students, staff
and visitors inside the school building.

School business and classroom activities continue as normal.

A school will go on modified lockdown if a threat is in the schools
neighborhood and does not endanger the occupants of
the school. NO person is allowed to enter or leave the building.
It is not necessary to lock interior doors.

Building Lockdown

Building lockdown consists of moving all students, staff and visitors off school grounds into the school, securing all entrances and denying access to any unauthorized person. All students will remain in their classrooms with classroom doors and windows closed and locked. The site Incident Commander will release from lockdown when the danger is contained or has subsided.
