Denver Scholarship Foundation: The Denver Scholarship Foundation inspires and empowers Denver Public School students to achieve their post-secondary goals by providing the tools, knowledge and financial resources essential for success.
EXCELerator: The EXCELerator Schools project aims to implement a process of continuous improvement to radically increase college admissions and success for students. One of the main goals of this project is to create a college ready culture within the high school through expanding Advanced Placement Course offerings and enrollment for all students.

AVID: AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) was developed by Mary Catherine Swanson at Clairemont High School in 1980 in response to San Diego Unified School District's court-ordered integration of the city;s schools. The program began as an elective class taken during the regular school day. Mary Catherine held her students accountable to the highest standards and provided them with academic and social support. She believed they would rise to the challenge. And have they ever!
ROTC: Just like in the past, south has had a very successful JROTC program in the past ten years including city and state championships in rifle and drill competitions. Just like any other JROTC program in the city we use a standard army Battalion organization. We are entirely run by students. This year Chain of command is at the bottom. We also have six companies, one for each class period.
